Frequently Asked Questions
All of my therapy sessions take place online via Google Meet. Before each session, I send a private video link to your email so you can join easily and securely from home.
No- you don’t need a formal autism diagnosis to work with me. You’re welcome here exactly as you are, with or without a diagnosis.
I work with both adults and adolescents aged 10–19.
Yes! You are absolutely welcome to attend therapy with me if you’re non‑speaking. We can work together using whatever communication methods feel most accessible for you, including typing, chat, written responses, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), or a combination of approaches. My sessions are designed to be flexible and supportive so you can express yourself in a way that feels safe and comfortable.
Yes- parents can be involved in their child’s therapy when it feels supportive and appropriate. For younger clients, I may invite parents to join part of the session or have occasional check‑ins so we can work together in a way that feels safe and helpful for your child. As they grow in confidence, some young people prefer to have more independent space, and we can adjust this gradually.
Not at all. Some clients find it easier to focus with their camera off, and that’s completely acceptable. Over time, some people choose to have their camera on as they feel more comfortable, but that’s entirely your choice.
I’m trained to Level 3 in counselling and my work is reviewed regularly with a qualified supervisor to ensure safe and ethical practice.
I’m not currently part of an awarding body, as they require Level 4 and in‑person training. Chronic illness has made that inaccessible for me, but I do adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework.
Maintaining an ethical practice is important to me. I attend regular supervision, follow the BACP’s Ethical Framework, and engage in ongoing CPD (continued professional development) to keep my skills grounded in best practice. If I find that a client needs support outside my scope, I always signpost to appropriate services.
I charge £35 for a 60-minute session and have aimed to keep my services as financially accessible as possible. If you’re finding it difficult to cover the full cost, feel free to contact me so we can work out a lower price together.
