Meet the Founder

Emily Hustwick

If you’ve found yourself here, it’s likely that you or someone you care about is going through a challenging or uncertain time, seeking support to navigate both the present and what lies ahead. As an autistic person diagnosed at 18, I know firsthand what it’s like to live in a world not built with differences in mind. That’s why I started Life Behind a Mask- a warm, welcoming therapy space created especially for autistic individuals who want to feel a true sense of belonging.

I’m forever grateful that I contacted Emily to utilise her services. Before I started my therapy and unmasking journey with her, I was struggling with my mental health and found articulating my needs  incredibly difficult. Once we had our introductory call, I knew I had made the right choice.

After working with Emily for over a year, I can confidently say I now have the resources, techniques, and mindset to set boundaries, self-advocate, and achieve my goals and desires. Emily made me feel safe, seen, and heard while providing me with support and a safe space to unmask and speak openly about my struggles, especially during my most vulnerable times.

I would highly recommend Emily’s services to anyone looking to start their own therapy or unmasking journey.
